We were lucky enough to meet with Chef Sommelier Alba, who took us on a tour of her favourite city hangouts, and told us all about the delights of Reykjavik. 

A new crop of hotels and eateries have begun to fill the town, it is an undeniably cool place that we will definitely be revisiting.

We met with one of Icelands top helicopter pillots, Gisli, who took us on the most extreme heli trip of a lifetime. Gisli is a true explorer, he took us to unreachable mountain summits and secret waterfalls.. this was definitely an experience that will stay with us forever.

Thorey, a local actress and tour guide, kindly took time out of her busy schedule to take us on a horseback trip through the beautiful mountains and plains revealing to us how Iceland can be a refuge from modern-day distractions.

She explained to us how Icelander's hold a deep respect and connection to nature, something we all need reminding how to do from time to time.

'Rax' Ragner Axelsson, an award winning photographer, kindly shared his stories of the bond between man and huskie, chasing snowstorms, and photographing the last polar bear in Iceland. He has devoted his life to chronicling the worlds dimishing artic communites and his work offered us a personal insight into their isolated lives.
